OUR APPROACH

Our Principles

The Lighthouse Bureau is guided by a number of principles. They are:

  1. Recruit the very best people, based on their knowledge, experience and ability to communicate this knowledge to clients.

  2. To tailor our presentations to the needs of clients, taking into account the nature of their sector and the strategic environment they find themselves in.
  3. To encourage clients to respond to challenges creatively, based on the best available knowledge.
  4. To provide critical assessment of the 'state of play'.

  5. Provide insights from the other side of the fence, which we can do because many Bureau members once worked for government and activist organisations.

  6. To inform, not preach.

Our People

The sole assets of the Lighthouse Bureau are our experts. They are selected on the following criteria:

Knowledgeable - Our expert have been selected because of their eminence in their field and their ability to link current trends and issues to the context of your business or organisation.

Hands on - The Bureau's experts cover a wide range of topics and have, on average, 20 years hands-on experience in their field. They have or have had senior experience in government, not-for profits and business. They are still actively engaged in the sustainability agenda, and are up-to-date on the latest developments and approaches. We also have speakers drawn from NGOs and activist organisations who can provide clients with insights on how companies are targeted by activists groups and stakeholders, and how this can be avoided.

Relevant - Bureau members are able to tailor their knowledge to your sector or business. Our objective is to supply clients with knowledge that they can apply.

Independent - Bureau members are independent, and operate under Chatham House Rules.
